Returns & Refunds Policy

Returns & Refunds Policy

At Boobie Jewels, we take great care in creating meaningful, handcrafted breastmilk jewellery designed to last for many years. Because each piece is made using your own preserved breastmilk and created specifically for you, our returns and refunds policy differs from standard retail products. Please read the policy below carefully before placing your order.

1. Bespoke & Personalised Products

All breastmilk jewellery is custom-made and personalised using materials supplied by you.

For this reason, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, personalised and bespoke goods are non-refundable and non-returnable, except where an item is proven to be faulty.

We therefore cannot offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect selections made at checkout

  • Delays outside of our control

  • Failure to follow care instructions

  • Natural variations in breastmilk or resin appearance

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.

2. Order Changes

Orders may be amended only before your breastmilk has been received and preserved.

Once preservation has taken place and production has begun, the order is locked and no further changes can be made.

3. Items Damaged or Faulty on Arrival

If your order arrives damaged or you believe there is a fault, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery.

Please email:
becky@boobiejewels.co.uk

Include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photographs of the item and packaging

Failure to report an issue within this timeframe may result in the item being considered accepted as delivered and in good condition.

For quality assurance, we photograph jewellery prior to dispatch.

If a genuine fault is confirmed, we will offer an appropriate solution which may include:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Partial or full refund (where repair or replacement is not possible)

This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

4. Natural Characteristics of Breastmilk Jewellery

Each breastmilk stone is unique. The colour, tone, and finish of your piece may vary due to:

  • Natural differences in breastmilk

  • Changes throughout your feeding journey

  • The preservation process

  • Resin curing conditions

Small bubbles or slight variations may occur during production. These are normal characteristics of handmade resin jewellery and are not considered faults.

Product images on our website are examples only.

5. Material Ageing & Discolouration

We use high-quality, UV-resistant jewellery resin. However, resin and organic inclusions such as breastmilk may naturally change colour over time.

This process can be influenced by:

  • Sunlight exposure

  • Heat

  • Moisture

  • Chemicals or perfumes

  • General wear

Gradual colour change is a known property of breastmilk jewellery and does not constitute a manufacturing fault.

However, if significant or unusual discolouration occurs within 6 months of receiving your jewellery, please contact us so we can review the issue.

6. Ring Sizing Responsibility

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct ring size at the time of purchase.

Due to the way breastmilk stones are set, rings cannot be resized once completed without risking damage to the stone.

We therefore cannot offer refunds, exchanges, or remakes due to incorrect sizing.

If you are unsure of your size, we strongly recommend obtaining professional sizing before ordering.

7. Wear, Care & Maintenance

Jewellery is subject to natural wear over time. Our policy does not cover damage caused by:

  • Everyday wear and tear

  • Tarnishing of sterling silver

  • Plating fading or wearing away

  • Broken chains, clasps, or jump rings

  • Exposure to water, chemicals, or impact

  • Failure to follow aftercare instructions

Proper care will significantly extend the life of your jewellery.

If you believe there is a structural fault, please contact us with photos and we will review the situation.

8. Stone Security

All stones are carefully set and checked before dispatch. However, as with all fine jewellery, there is a small risk that stones may loosen due to impact, pressure, or wear.

To reduce risk we recommend:

  • Removing jewellery during physical activity

  • Avoiding knocks and drops

  • Avoiding extreme temperatures

If a stone becomes loose or lost, please contact us and we will advise whether a repair or remake is possible.

9. Repairs & Restoration

If your jewellery becomes accidentally damaged, we may be able to offer a repair service depending on the nature of the damage.

Examples may include:

  • Buffing scratches

  • Re-sealing a breastmilk stone

  • Resetting a stone (where possible)

Repairs may involve:

  • A small service fee

  • Return postage costs

Please contact us to discuss options before sending any items back.

10. Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

11. Contact Information
