What Is A Breastmilk Charm?
A breastmilk charm is a piece of jewellery made from gold, silver, rolled gold or gold vermeil which contains a resin stone infused with preserved breastmilk. Every Boobie Jewels breastmilk charm is made to order using your own breastmilk.
Our breastmilk charms are ideal for adding to existing charm bracelets or necklaces (European or traditional), starting a motherhood memory bracelet or pairing with other keepsake charms over time.
Some styles are also suitable for laser engraving for an extra layer of personalisation.
How are they Made?
Your own breastmilk is carefully preserved, dried, ground down into a fine powder and combined with resin to become a beautiful stone, which is then set into your chosen charm design. Many ring styles can also be engraved for an extra layer of personalisation.
How much breastmilk is required?
For any of the charm styles 5ml of breastmilk is a perfect amount. There are ways to work with smaller amounts if 5ml is difficult to provide, please contact me here to discuss.
How long does a breastmilk charm take?
A breastmilk charm takes on average 6-8 weeks from receipt of your milk collection kit. This rises to 10-12 weeks for 9ct Gold and custom orders.
What happens after I order?
After placing your order, you’ll receive a breastmilk collection kit in the post which contains everything you need to send your 5ml of breastmilk to be preserved and turned into your charm. You will receive email confirmation of your order, the dispatch of your milk collection kit and also confirmation of our receipt of the breastmilk collection kit.
