"I’ve recently received the baby feet charm that I had ordered with you and I just wanted to say thank you so much it is such a special piece that I am over the moon with and it is beautiful! I have a nine month old daughter and I am going to keep it in her memory box with a gorgeous scan photo we have of her foot to give to her when she’s older - and I’ve just ordered the crown ring to be able to wear myself as a symbol of our breastfeeding journey. The first three months of our breastfeeding journey was very difficult with lots of challenges ranging from tongue tie, chronic mastitis and breast ultrasounds, with Doctors advising I would likely have to stop. However I knew in my gut it wasn’t the end of the journey for us and I preserved and I’m thrilled to say we are now still happily breastfeeding at almost ten months.

"This piece of jewellery means so much to me! From a very young age I've always know that, one day when I have a baby, I want breastfeed him or her.

The time came at age 30 when I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl. The start of my breastfeeding journey wasn't easy- she had a bad latch from the start and would get frustrated. I couldn't get the hold quite right and it took spending all day feeding her, for her to get the little milk she needed. I got 1 hour sleep a night if I was lucky. I was so exhausted that the midwife actually suggested trying to express or give formula, which I knew wasn't what I wanted for us. I was determined to persist and get through this difficult/complicated time. I was lucky enough to be able to meet with a specialist breastfeeding midwife after 5 weeks, who, after making a few tweeks, made both me and my babies life and breastfeeding journey a joy! I'm so pleased I stuck with it, and after 8 months, our breastfeeding journey and bond is still going strong!

"I received my breastmilk ring at the weekend and I want to tell you how much I love it. 

Breastfeeding was hard for me and my little boy (now 16 months). He had a tongue tie and lost a lot of weight after he was born. We had lots of appointments with lactation and feeding specialists as well as midwives, some more successful than others. We used nipple shields for a while before we were able to successfully move away from them. I spent many, many nights in tears of pain, trying not to cry out, as Sebastian fed, lots of worry about his weight and pressure from my husband to give Sebastian formula. I was hoping to breastfeed for at least a year but Sebastian decided at 9 months that it was easier to have formula from a bottle rather than milk from breastfeeding and he chose to stop feeding from me. I'm sad that we didn't make it further but I'm so proud of myself for getting to 9 months, through all the pain and tears, uncomfortable boobs, conflicting information from 'experts'. I loved every minute of our breastfeeding journey and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

This ring is to celebrate what I did for myself as much as for sebastian. And to remind myself that I can do anything I put my mind to and that I will do anything to give my baby the best chance in life. Thank you for helping me keep this reminder close to my heart.
