Our delicate Round Breastmilk Pendant is the most popular item in the Boobie Jewels range and it is easy to see why. A small, versatile 8mm round pendant set with a domed breastmilk stone, it is a tiny keepsake filled with big meaning. Created using your own preserved milk, this special piece of breastmilk jewellery is designed to represent the love, care and connection of your breastfeeding journey in a subtle and wearable way. The optional chain is a 1mm rope chain and 18 inches long, attached to the pendant by a 5mm jump ring. This pendant can also be purchased without chain in order to add to your own, in this case it will come on a 5mm open jump ring.
Materials
The Round Breastmilk Pendant is available in your choice of Sterling Silver, 14ct Gold Filled or Rose Gold Vermeil plated Sterling Silver. For each metal choice, the jump ring and chain will be made of the same material. We also offer a 9ct Gold Round Breastmilk pendant here.
Personalisation
For an extra £25, The Round Breastmilk Pendant can be personalised with custom engraving on the back of the pendant — perfect for adding a name, date, or short message. All engraving is completed by Becky in her studio with a laser engraver. Other personalisation options for The Round Breastmilk pendant are to add an engraved Initial Tag or Birth Flower Tag, these are attached to the chain or jump ring and hang alongside the pendant, giving a simple pendant an even more powerful meaning.
How much breastmilk do I need?
The tube inside the breastmilk collection kit holds 5ml of breastmilk and this is an ideal amount to send. However, if 5ml is difficult to provide, the Round Breastmilk Pendant can be made with as little as 1ml of breastmilk.
How the process works
1. Place your order
Add your chosen jewellery items to your cart, being sure to complete all drop down boxes and populate any engraving requests. Upon completing checkout you will receive immediate email confirmation of your order (please do check spam folders if this hasn't arrived).
2. Receive collection kit
Typically your breastmilk collection kit will be despatched within 48-72 hours of your order being placed and you will receive an email confirming when it is on the way to you. The breastmilk collection kit contains a 5ml watertight tube to fill with breastmilk, a grip seal plastic bag labelled with your order number in which to place the filled breastmilk collection tube, an instruction leaflet with a ring size chart on the reverse, a ring sizer (if requested) and a return postal envelope with stamp and return address affixed to it. The instruction leaflet will answer all FAQ’s and detail exactly how to use the breastmilk collection kit. Every effort has been made to make the process as quick and easy as possible for you. Please note, your breastmilk collection kit will be sent and returned via Royal Mail 2nd Class post as standard and may take up to a week to arrive. If you would like to upgrade the postage on your breastmilk return to a tracked service for extra peace of mind, please feel free to do so.
3. Send breastmilk
Your breastmilk collection kit can be posted into any postbox and typically will arrive within 2-3 working days. The time it spends travelling, even at warmer times of year, is not an issue as breastmilk is very resilient. When your breastmilk is safely received, you will receive email confirmation that it has undergone the preservation process.
4. Jewellery is made
This is the longest part of the process, typically taking an average of 6-8 weeks and rising to 10-12 weeks for custom orders and 9ct Gold. Please note, at busy times of year this turnaround time can rise. Current turnaround times are always displayed at the top of the Boobie Jewels homepage and regularly updated. 5. Jewellery is returned to you
Once complete, your breastmilk jewellery will be returned to you via your chosen shipping method. You will receive an email confirming your breastmilk jewellery is on the way and providing you with tracking details for it.
Packaging and Gifting
The breastmilk collection kit is sent in a pink postal mailing bag with no identifying features on it, perfect if you're ordering jewellery to surprise a loved one. Finished breastmilk jewellery is packaged in a branded Boobie Jewels white matchbox jewellery box or white drawstring bag depending on the item. This sits nestled on a bed of wood wool with a business card and aftercare instructions enclosed. There are no identifying features or branding on the outer kraft postal box, again perfect for surprising a loved one. We do not enclose any invoices within the finished parcel, a receipt can be sent via email on request.
